Repurposing Bridesmaid's Bouquets

Dear Richmond Brides and Grooms:

If you are thinking that you should use Bridesmaid's bouquets for centerpieces don't! Bouquets have one purpose that is to be carried down the aisle. They are great to put around the cake or on the gift table but bouquets do not make good centerpieces. They are too tall to be used in the center of the table. Another reason not to use them as centerpieces are your guest will be at a table with nothing while the wedding party is taking pictures. I have done it before and I am sure I will have request to do it again, but the overall feeling is that trying to re-purpose flowers that were created with one look in mind does not translate well to another.
